The RENOPUB consortium will meet in Dublin on 15 October 2026 for the project’s official kickoff meeting, marking the beginning of a three year initiative to transform public building renovation plans into investable projects.

Coordinated by the Sustainable Energy Finance Association, RENOPUB brings together expertise in energy efficiency, public procurement, project development and sustainable finance. The project will support Irish public bodies in overcoming the financial, technical and procurement barriers that often prevent renovation projects from progressing from initial plans to implementation.

The kickoff meeting will bring consortium partners together to establish a shared vision for the project, review the planned activities and agree on the immediate steps required to begin developing a strong pipeline of public building renovation projects.

From individual projects to investment at scale

Over its three year duration, RENOPUB aims to launch €25 million in sustainable energy investments through contracted renovation projects. The project will also develop a support model that can continue beyond its lifetime and provide lessons for other European countries seeking to scale investment in public building renovation.

The RENOPUB consortium comprises SEFA, Retrofit Energy Ireland Limited, New Energy Group, Quantity Surveying Solutions Limited and Joule Advisory Services.
