Turning public buildings into investable renovation projects

RENOPUB Ireland is creating a faster, simpler and finance-ready pathway to deep energy renovation across Ireland’s public sector.

The project brings together pipeline development, streamlined procurement, innovative financing and practical support for public authorities. Its goal is to turn renovation needs into investable projects that reduce energy use, cut emissions and improve public buildings.

From fragmented projects to a scalable renovation market

Ireland must significantly accelerate the renovation of its public buildings to meet national and European energy and climate targets. Yet many promising projects remain difficult to deliver because of fragmented pipelines, limited internal capacity, complex procurement processes and uncertainty around financing.

RENOPUB addresses these barriers through an integrated Project Development Assistance facility. It will help public bodies identify suitable buildings, prepare and bundle projects, access a streamlined procurement framework and structure finance-ready renovation programmes.

The result will be a repeatable pathway capable of moving projects from initial identification to contract award and investment.
