Today at Renovate Europe Day 2025, the Copenhagen Commitment was officially launched and delivered to European Commissioner Dan Jørgensen, uniting 70 organisations and industries from across Europe’s energy efficiency and renovation value chain.
Our shared message is clear: we already have the technologies, skills, and investment capacity to deliver efficient, affordable, and people-centred buildings. What’s needed now is long-term regulatory stability and a strong post-2030 framework to drive investment and planning.

We are thrilled to share that the European Parliament has taken a historic step by establishing a Special Committee on the Housing Crisis, with an overwhelming 480 votes in favor. This marks a pivotal moment in addressing one of Europe’s most pressing challenges.
The committee, set to operate for one year, will focus on:
✔️ Mapping housing needs for low- and middle-income groups.
✔️ Assessing the economic impact of housing scarcity on poverty, inequality, and social exclusion.
