Making Efficiency a Bankable Resource: Unlocking Europe’s Largest Energy Resource

Europe’s building stock represents the continent’s largest untapped energy resource. Despite ambitious policy targets, investment in deep energy retrofits remains limited due to fragmented markets, high transaction costs, and perceived risks.

The GearUP project, co-funded by the EU LIFE Programme, introduces the GEAR Framework and the GearUP platform, creating a structured market for energy efficiency. Together, they make energy savings bankable, investable, and scalable, unlocking new opportunities for investors, property managers, regulators, and energy service companies.

Join us for the official GearUP launch, hosted by SEFA, to discover how this innovative initiative is transforming the energy efficiency landscape. The project consortium will present the framework, demonstrate the platform, and highlight benefits for stakeholders across finance, property, and public sectors.

Who Should Attend?

  • Investors and financiers seeking standardized, de-risked energy efficiency investment pipelines

  • Property managers and building owners looking for simplified retrofit models and access to capital

  • Public authorities and regulators aiming for transparent, scalable procurement frameworks

  • Energy service companies (ESCOs) interested in aggregation opportunities and innovative project models
